About Harlym 125:Born Jamele Adams and residing in HARLEM, NYC, this brother is the "juggernaut of artistic edu-activism." 125 is an alum of Rice High School, Penn State University and Bowling Green State University. It was at those institutions where he graduated from High School, got his B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Higher Education by the age of 24. "The community of the mind is where we reinvent the spirituality of the streets. Street justice is not killing in retaliation, for any fool can kill, but killing the influence of western civilization "thought" and the slave-mentality is street justice. This educator, activist, romantic, entertainer, poet and actor lives the artform with conviction toward preserving its purity…..artistic freedom and creativity. 125 is responsible for starting the Hip Hop Society and the "Kenyon Alive Poets Society." 1two5 (125) has also done pre-warm-up for the audiences of the Ananda Lewis and Iyanla Vanzant talk shows. He was a featured poet at the 2001 Black Expo & Kwanzaa Fest at the Jacob Javitz Center. 1two5 has also "opened-up" for comedians, Montery Ivey, Hamburger, & Capone. 1two5 has done poetry workshops at schools; The West Kinney High School in Newark, N.J., the Mahalia Jackson Elementary School in Brooklyn, Jane Adams High School, and the Mt. Vernon High School in Mt. Vernon Ohio. 125 has been welcomed on the stages of poetry venues throughout the five boroughs and beyond (Ohio, Michigan, Geneva New York (H&WS), New Jersey, Chicago, Connecticut, Boston, Minnesota and Pennsylvania). 1Two5 was also a featured artist at the 2002 Wordstock Event and the Love Thyself Love Thy Community Festival, both held in Harlem. Throughout the city, 125 has performed at Jimmy's Uptown Café for Hottest Poets.Com, the Sugar Shack, the Nuyorican Poet’s Café’, Brooklyn Moon, Soul Salsa Café, Tracey's, The Schomberg Research Center, the “Lobby”, the Gaslight, Gishen Café, Justin's, Ovation’s, Euphoria, The Bowery Poetry Club, Bogies, Rockwell’s, Nightingale’s, Nell’s, Sammy’s 1 & 2, Ruzo’s, The Boston Comedy Club, Iimani, Manhattan Proper, Cheyenne Roadhouse, The International Mirage Cabaret, The Lab, Billie Holiday Theater, The Duplex, Stamford Ct. 1two5 was a featured artist for the 2002 Urban Fashion Awards, and the Power 105.1, Dimensions of Hip Hop and Gateway Financial Fashion Tribute. 1Two5 is sponsored and works collaboratively with the S.O.H.K. School Of Hard Knocks Clothing Company. Notably and to rave revues, 1two5 hosted the New York City “2K2 Hairshow” as sponsored by Professional Hair Design. As a member of Melanin-Flow, he recently left the crowd standing at the Best of the Best Comedy Fest and Kings of Poetry festival. He is the premiere host of Jimmy's Uptown Hottest Poets.Com Weekly Poetry Event and $15,000.00 Slam as well as the host for "Julian Curry & Friends" Weekly Slam at the Scotch Bonnet Caribean Restaurant and Sugarhill Bistro.


125’s most memorable poetic moment was performing the "I'M FROM… HARLEM" poem in front of a 1000+ outside audience at Grant's Tomb to assist in the "setting off" of the Harlem Week Festivities. 125 is a Hottest Poets.Com Champion for the 2001 Season. He is found in multiple fashions industry events serving as the "spoken-word ad'vant-guard" for the SOHK (School of Hard Knocks) clothing line.


125 was a Nuyorican Poet’s Café Grand Slam Finalist for the 2002 season, has appeared on the stage of the World Famous Apollo Theatre, performed for VH-1, just completed filming for the movie "Dream Hughes', a celebration of the life of Langston Hughes", has appeared in the February 2002 issue of the SOURCE magazine and in the "Harlem Times" periodical. 125 is also the author of two books: My First Black Cherry Popped and Body Language Metamorphosis.
